About the role:
As a Quality Manager you’ll have a proven track record of delivering improvements in a high paced, complex manufacturing or assembly operation as well as demonstrable experience in managing, coaching and leading a team of experienced engineers and technicians. Reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, you’ll be the champion for quality and an integral part of the operational leadership team and will form close working relationships across departments.
You’ll be analytical with a sound understanding of external and internal Quality KPI such as Warranty and Defect per Unit reporting. You’ll be a decision maker that is able to makes decisions that fact based and have the business interests in mind.
What does this role involve day to day?
• Great leadership ability that can motivate and guide teams and individuals to become high performing in everything that they do.
• Ability to lead a team of problem solvers to identify root cause analysis and validate robust closure.
• The implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality management system.
• The ability to manage, analyse and communicate quality performance data, whilst clearly identifying required improvement activities.
• The strength of communication to escalate significant issues clearly, and concisely and in a timely manner with the appropriate level of detail to all key stakeholders.
• Timely response with rapid and robust investigations to in process quality concerns to ensure the quality of the product is maintained at all times.
• Exemplary management of in plant supplier quality including management of containment activities.
• Innovative thought process that will drive the department to achieve the organisational strategy.
This will be suited to you if
• You have a proven track record of delivering quality improvements through problem solving techniques.
• You have knowledge of SAP and / or OES systems.
• You are enthusiastic, show commitment and have a sense of urgency and passion for continual improvement and best practice in Quality Management.
