About the role:

As a Senior Event Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the immediate project planning and delivery of the Worldwide Event Calendar. This high-impact role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organisational skills and a passion for delivering world-class experiences.

What does this role involve day to day?

  • Represent the Worldwide Events Team in the best possible light, continuously striving to improve standards.
  • End-to-end project management of JCB events. This will include a diverse range of large-scale internal events including customer and dealer events, training experiences, press launches, VIP visits, and others. This is predominantly a UK-based role however, there will be a requirement to support our regional teams overseas.
  • Plan, organise and deliver large-scale exhibition show stands across the UK and rest of the world, ensuring high quality and engaging exhibits.
  • Work across the business, coordinating with divisional teams to guarantee smooth execution and consistency of events.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders daily, including senior levels of management and family members, to ensure world-class event delivery.
  • Full responsibility of individual event budgets (up to £1m), raising and managing purchase orders using SAP and Ariba, ensuring supplier invoices are accurate and processed promptly. Follow internal procedures on recharging divisions and customers for events and visits.
  • Liaise with hotels and suppliers to negotiate the best available rates when planning events.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Worldwide Event Manager, assisting with enquiries and project oversight.
  • Efficiently allocate event and visit enquiries and requests to the appropriate members of the Event Team.
  • Support and champion safe event execution across all JCB locations – including factories, quarries, farms and estates.
  • Lead and manager the wider event team, supporting development, coaching, and performance reviews.

This will be suited to you if…

• You're a proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• You have at least 3 years of experience in event planning and delivery.

• You have experience working with senior executives and stakeholders.

• You have management experience of leading a team.

• You are able to travel overseas to deliver events.

• Please note, this is a full-time position based at JCB’s World Headquarters in Staffordshire. As this is an operational role, you will need to be able to commute to the office every day. Applications should be aware that this role will require an element of overseas travel (several times per year).
